What is Torque?
The torque effect is an example of Isaac Newton’s third law of motion – for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. When the propeller is rotating a certain direction, the torque wants to rotate the engine the opposite direction. Engine torque will rotate the propeller, and the propeller, while creating thrust, will resist with propeller torque.
